Eli is not a chatbot bolted onto a product. It is built into the platform shell, and it picks up a different set of tools depending on where you opened it — document tools in a document, cell tools in a spreadsheet, your actual books in the business apps. Fourteen apps, fourteen toolsets, one agent. Nothing to wire up, and no per-app assistant to configure. It reads a document before rewriting it, opens the linked spreadsheet before quoting a number, and can be stopped mid-run with every edit attributed and reversible.

It also remembers. Eli keeps a working notebook in each app — what you decided, where things live, the gotcha you hit last time — and carries it across conversations rather than starting cold every time. Notebooks are per person, so nothing you wrote down turns up in a colleague's run.

And because it sits on the same record as everything else, so does the governance: one company-wide AI budget and a per-person one, consent taken individually before anything runs, and an off-switch checked before a request leaves the building. An admin sees what AI cost and who spent it — never what you asked it.
